Biography, Life story
Waad Albahri was born on October 01, 1981 in Sweida, Syria. She is the voice of Asmahan in the Asmahan series. She is “Asmahan the Generation” as the Syrian poet and journalist Saad al-Hashemi called her. She started singing at the age of four, as her family discovered her talent early, and she sang in many local events at the time. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Emirates – Abu Dhabi. She was also a student at the Arab Oud House (Naseer Shamma) to learn the Oud and the origins of Arabic music.
She participated in Super Star 2 and reached the finals. She currently resides between Abu Dhabi, where her family is, and Cairo, where she is artistically active and performs many concerts, the most important of which are the concerts of the Egyptian Opera House in Cairo, where she sang several times, in addition to her participation in the Arabic Song Festival and her revival of a huge concert at Sayed Darwish Theater in Alexandria. She also participated in the national celebrations in Libya and performed a huge concert. In Rabat, it was attended by Princess Lalla Salma, wife of the King of Morocco.
