Tamer Hosny was born on October 19, 1977 in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, to an Egyptian father, Hosni Sharif Abbas Farghali, and a Syrian mother, Fatima al-Sabbagh. His father separated from his mother when he was seven years old, and he, his mother, and his older brother, Hossam, lived without a source of livelihood.
