Shokran Mortga was born on December 12, 1970 in Saudi Arabia. In high school, she participated in the acting activity in the school theater, and her first appearance on the stage was through the play “Pharaoh Doesn’t Look Like the Pharaohs.” After completing her high school studies, she joined the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts.

Shukran Mortga started acting in 1993, and her first television job opportunity was when the great director Haitham Hakki chose her for the role of Zakia in “Khan al-Harir”. After that, her television works continued, and her roles varied between dramatic and comedic, the most famous of which are “Jamil and Hana’s Diaries”, “Saqr Quraish” and “Bab Al-Hara”, until she became one of the most famous and important actresses of Syrian drama.

Shukran Mortga also presented several TV programs, including “Shukran Ya” on Radio Syria Al-Ghad, “Star FM” on Radio Syria Al-Ghad, and she also joined the team of the “Sawwalfna Helwa” program on Dubai TV.
