Sherine Altahan was born on June 5, 1976 in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. As a child, Sherine El-Tahhan dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. She graduated from the Faculty of Commerce and worked on television at the Nile Variety Channel, where she presented a number of programs. And her success in front of the camera on television attracted her to the glamor of cinema, so she presented her first roles as the wife of Hisham Selim in the movie “45 Days” for her husband, director Ahmed Yousry.
