Sasha Gray was born on March 14, 1988 in the North Highlands County of Sacramento, the capital of the state of California, USA, and her real name is Marina Ann Hanzis. She comes from a working-class family, her mother worked in an administration in California, while her father worked as a car mechanic, and her parents divorced when she was five years old. She studied in four different secondary schools, but she did not like to study, and she completed her secondary education in 2005 at the age of seventeen, then she joined the Higher Institute and studied the arts of cinema, acting and dance. She worked as a waitress in a restaurant during 2006 to save $7,000 for her relocation to Los Angeles.
Sasha Gray moved to Los Angeles, California in 2006 at the age of eighteen, and there she entered the field of adult films under the name (Anna Karina). At that time, she acted in more than 244 films (including two that she directed herself), in which she had a variety of performances, including lesbianism, especially since she is bisexual. In 2008, she starred in the feature film (The Girlfriend Experience) directed by the famous director Stephen Sodberg.
