Mona el-Shazly was born on September 23, 1973 in Mit Ghamr, Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt. She studied political science and media at the American University in Cairo. I worked in public relations at the Arab Contractors Company.
At the beginning of her media life, she joined the (ART) network, which was broadcasting from the Italian capital, Rome. After her success in the competition for choosing announcers, at first she was a television reporter on (ART) channel, doing interviews with actors and singers, then she presented television programs, including entertainment programs, And programs such as (The Issue Is Not Yet Resolved) on ART Variety around 2003, and the program I Don’t See, I Don’t Hear, I Don’t Speak, and the program Don’t Go This Evening on ART Films. Then she presented many political programs, the most important of which was the talk show (10 pm) on the Egyptian satellite channel (Dream), and the program (Mofifah Sentence) in 2012. And the program (With You Mona El Shazly) on (CBC) in 2014.
Mona El-Shazly married Samir Youssef, General Manager of Adam Media Production Company, one of the founders of the Arab Radio and Television Network ART and Executive Director of the Arab News Agency. She has three daughters, two of whom are twins.
