Karis Bashar was born on February 16, 1975 in Damascus, the capital of Syria. She entered the artistic community in 1995 with her father’s refusal, so he refused to give her his surname, but after her tolerance with him, he gave her the surname. She participated in many television series, and the first work she participated in was the series Family 6 Stars, and after that she continued to present her artistic works until her roles reached the championship in each of the series: Narcissus Flower, Under the Madas, Not a Mirage, Narrow Corridors … and she became considered one of the first-class stars in Syria and achieved tremendous success in most of its works. She is married to Shadi Jawad, and they have a son, Majd, born in 1976. She was chosen as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF of the United Nations.
