Ahmed Helmy was born on November 18, 1970 in Banha, Qalyubia Governorate, Egypt. He traveled to Saudi Arabia at the age of 8, where his father was working and lived there for 10 years. He received his education until the second secondary grade in Saudi schools, before returning to Egypt to complete his studies and join the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts – Department of Decoration, and after that the Academy of Arts. He started acting on television in the series “Nas Welad Nas” in 1993 with the artist Karam Mutawa and Nadia Lutfi, but after the series, my dream was cut off from the artistic community because of his military service, to work after that for a period as an interior designer, then as a director for children’s programs on the Egyptian satellite channel, And coincidence makes him a broadcaster, after he was chosen to present a children’s program that was presenting his idea, which is the program “Playing Children”, which achieved remarkable success, which prompted director Sherif Arafa to choose him for the movie “Aboud on the Borders” in 1999, to be his first movie and the turning point in his life. After that, she participated in several films, then won several starring roles after that. He also participated in many television and radio series, and won several awards.
Ahmed Helmy married Egyptian actress Mona Zaki, and he had a daughter named Lee Lee.
