ولدت باي لينغ (Bai Ling) في يوم 10 أكتوبر 1966 في مدينة تشنغدو في الصين. درست في مدرسة تيش العليا للفنون، وفي جامعة نيويورك. بدأت العمل في التمثيل من خلال فيلم (Hai tan) عام 1984، ومن أبرز الأفلام ألتي مثلتها فيلم (The Crow) عام 1994، وفيلم (Red Corner) عام 1997، وفيلم (Wild Wild West) عام 1999.
